It Starts with a Feeling
What really convinced me to start creating on Toongether was the good feeling I got from the app. First, I downloaded it and spent some time exploring. Then I noticed they had a Discord server, so I joined to get a sense of the community.
As a Sagittarius, if something doesn’t feel right, I’m not doing it. But once I got a good vibe from the people there, I thought, okay—let’s create something. The real challenge, though, was deciding which story I should actually post. That was the toughest part.
Trust the Vision
The biggest challenge many authors struggle with is focusing too much on the number of reads. Don’t worry about who’s reading—focus on the story itself. If you genuinely enjoy creating your stories, the readers will come in time.
The most important rule of writing is to write for yourself. Don’t get caught up in what others think or say. Just stay true to what you want to do with your story, what you hope to achieve, and most importantly—have fun with it.
No Notes, Just Vibes
My brainstorming process is definitely unique—I don’t write anything down at first. I just think. I always have tons of stories swirling around in my head, and when one really clicks, that’s the one I choose. It always starts with a feeling. If the story doesn’t give me the right vibe, I’ll scrap it. But once the creative energy starts flowing, that’s when I know I’m ready to publish the first chapter.
Take Your Time - and Write for YOU first
When it comes to combining text and images, don’t rush the process. If you feel like you’re running out of time, pause. Visualize the scene in your mind—place the picture where it belongs, and let the words come naturally. There’s no need to force it.
Many authors feel pressured by time, but the key is to slow down. Relax, picture the story in your head, imagine the words that fit, and that’s how you’ll find your rhythm and balance.
