I’m a 31-year-old West Texan, and my universe has epic, crazy, good tales. My universe is “EmpyreanEpic.”
Why EmpyreanEpic? “Empyrean” evokes the highest heaven—a celestial realm of divine power—which ties into my name’s theme of excellence. “Epic” captures the scale: legendary heroes, cosmic stakes, gods, and mortals clashing across realms. Think of it as a stage where Ed might just become Edward the Empyrean.
The vibe? Grand, emotional, and larger-than-life. Welcome to a universe where the impossible feels personal—and the personal becomes legendary!
Where My Ideas Come From
What inspires me is a lot of TV and comic books and manga. But growing up watching lots of anime and cartoons. Always loved the fiction and the story that is told, with great dialogues and characters and their development...
Balancing Speed and Perfection
I believe that storytelling should never be rushed. A compelling narrative takes time to unfold. By allowing the story to breathe, you build anticipation and keep the reader genuinely invested in what’s coming next.
I find myself going back to review my work quite often. It’s important for me to catch anything that might be off and make quick adjustments. Perfecting the little details is part of the fun and the craft.
Each episode takes a moderate amount of time to complete—not too long, but never rushed either. I put a lot of thought into creating a strong plot and a solid outline. On average, I aim for at least 16 panels per episode, sometimes more, depending on the complexity.
A Newfound Sense of Community
It felt like finally! People will get to see a story that I created and a community that I can connect and it’s made me forget about outside of life and it changed my life. Love the people here that I met, and the support where it encourages me to put more out there. Love that this app exists and universe.
What’s Next?
When it comes to heroes, there’s always more to tell! I’ve got a few exciting projects lined up, including Alpha & Omega, Overnight Shift, Wanna Be the Champion?, and Slice of Action. And that’s not all—I’m also working on a new story called Suit and Tie Guys, which will be out soon!
