The Spark Behind My Journey

Hi, I’m The Ultiverse!

I am 24, I love Marvel, and my favorite Marvel hero is Spider-Man. My comic universe mostly consists of superhero comics. I always had a big imagination. I created comics as a teen for my cousin and my aunt S., and uncle J. They believed I would work in the comics business. I quit making comics when I started working due to time. Until toongether made it more convenient. I’m thankful for my cousin Em reading my early work. And I’m thankful for her parents believing in me.

My ideas usually come from Marvel! My characters are based off Marvel characters, and I try to incorporate them in my own way with my own twists. You can usually tell the inspiration of my characters.

Bringing Ideas to Life

I begin with writing down little notes of things I want to throw into my episodes for the story and the main plot of each episode of the season. I then put it into my phone to write down for later to create my episode. The last part for me is dialogue and trying to put together the scene with objects and people which flow together as I create the panels.

Developing Ideas as I Go

I usually start with the main story of each episode. I try to create a beginning of my episode that can make sense to lead the story into the plot of the episode that will play out through the rest of the comic and sometimes continue from the last episode.

I do find myself having to rework panels often. Either something that looks off or something I can add more detail to or correct a typo. Then when I post the story, sometimes I have to rework a certain panel because I didn’t reread my draft before I posted it.

The Joy of Completing My First Episode

When I posted my very first episode, I felt a real sense of accomplishment. Just finishing something felt amazing. Honestly, I didn’t expect anyone to actually read my comic—I saw it more as an experiment to explore the kinds of stories I could tell. For me, it was just fun.

As for my own projects, I’ve got plenty of stories waiting to be told. Right now, my main focus is finishing Season 1 of Silkweb. After that, I plan to continue Legion of Hero’s, followed by Season 2 of Quantum Force. I’m also developing a brand-new comic in a totally different genre—it’s called Dead Alive Inside, and it’s going to dive deep into a zombie-filled world.
